As I stared at the unfamiliar pieces, my imagination quickly began racing ahead of reason. Parents often carry silent fears about the people they love most, and sometimes even small discoveries can trigger overwhelming worry. My mind jumped from one frightening possibility to another before I had any real understanding of what I was looking at.
