Dollar General and Family Dollar shoppers WARNED to check receipts after retailers slapped with fines for overcharging

According to Los Angeles County Consumer& Business Affairs

In February, inspectors found a 12% mistake rate, or 6 overcharges on 50 items.

March came with an 8.7% mistake rate, and May came with a 4% mistake rate.

Three Dollar General stores paid fines of $6,800, $5,000 and $5,330 respectively.
