Chatham County Sheriff Mike Roberson retires after more than four decades of service

A lifelong resident of Chatham County, according to officials, Roberson served as an emergency medical technician, paramedic, firefighter, police office, detention administrator, instructor, and chief deputy before becoming sheriff.
