Woman walking along I-40 dies in Raleigh hit and run near South Saunders Street: Police

Shively was then hit by at least two other cars, according to police. EMS crews arrived and found Shively dead at the scene, police said.

Officers did not have a description of the car that first hit Shively.

Eastbound I-40 lanes were closed until about 5:30 a.m., police said.
