Walmart shoppers brace for sweeping new fee at checkout – and money will go to low-income Americans

According to the Committee on Public Works, it will generate $6.6 million annually.

The new fee wouldn’t apply to delivery services operated by grocery stores themselves.

Walmart customers who shop in person will be unaffected.
