US and China reportedly set to have artificial intelligence talks in September

Xi Jinping’s planned Sept. 24 visit to the U.S., Reuters reported, citing multiple sources. It constitutes the first U.S.-China dialogue on AI under the Trump administration.

President Donald Trump and Xi previously discussed AI regulation at a summit in May, where they agreed to launch intergovernmental talks on AI governance.
