UPDATE: Five wildfires reported in Superior National Forest

south of the Canadian border.

Firefighting resources are assessing suppression options. The public is asked to avoid the affected areas for their safety and the safety of firefighters.

Officials also remind the public that drones are prohibited near wildfires and are illegal in federally designated wilderness areas.
