the police department was aware of another teen takeover originally scheduled to take place in Moore Square and was able to respond quickly before anything could happen.

Boyce said the department had no prior knowledge of a teen takeover in the Brier Creek area or Glenwood South.

He added that it was something he’s never seen in his 26 years in law enforcement
