Bettendorf man charged after videos show physical abuse of toddler, including choking

1-year-old.

In one video from June 6, police say Loyd grabbed the toddler by the hair and forcefully pulled her head around.

Loyd is accused of:

• Hitting the child’s legs
• Pushing her over
• Pulling the toddler up by the underarms and squeezing the rib cage/armpits of the child
• Forcefully throwing the toddler onto a bed
