Woman walking along I-40 dies in Raleigh hit and run near South Saunders Street: Police

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman died after she was hit by a car that fled the scene in Raleigh early Sunday morning, police said.

The crash was reported around 12:15 a.m. Sunday along the eastbound Interstate 40 lanes near South Saunders Street, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
