One injured during Wilson County Fair fireworks incident; event ends early

WILSON, N.C. (WNCN) — One person was injured, and a fireworks show was cut short during a mishap Saturday night at the Wilson County Fairgrounds, officials said.

The incident was reported just after 9:45 p.m. at the fairgrounds at 2331 U.S. 301, southwest of Wilson, according to a Wilson County Fair news release.
