Minnesota Man Sentenced to 30 Months for $1.18M Tax Refund Scheme

Henry Remington Herod, 43, was sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay $1.18 million in restitution for his role in preparing and filing false, fictitious, and fraudulent federal income tax returns claiming refunds.

Herod was sentenced before Chief U.S. District Court Judge Eric C. Tostrud on July 16, 2026.
