17-year-old charged with underage drinking in Nash County crash that seriously hurt 14-year-old bicyclist: Police

said the 14-year-old was directly airlifted to a trauma center because the extent of his injuries were unknown at the time. He remains in the hospital with severe injuries as of Friday afternoon.

Following an investigation, police said they arrested the 17-year-old and charged her with consuming alcohol while driving under the age of 21.
